My daughter “teaching” Kali how to walk.

Fairy tales can come true it can happen to you if you’re young at heart…..

I could not resist taking this shot of my daughter and our ferret Kali a few days ago. Kali being the sweet ferret she is eagerly played along with my daughter. A ferret walking upright? Hmm, that definitely would not be good!

Can you imagine these pint sized ferret munchkins running around with your prized possessions held firmly in their ferret paws? Quietly excitedly dooking, as they think of a whole new world that is open to them because they can now walk upright? Gah!

For the record…

If you don’t know it already ferrets love to stash things. It’s usually things that belong to me! Thankfully I know their most of their hideouts. I have found them attempting to scamper off with my keys a few times. Although I’m still attempting to locate a few silver rings. I love silver. I have a feeling where the silver rings. Where are they? Behind a heavy dresser drawer that I do not care to move, Gah!

Ferret: Kali

I snapped this ferret photo a few moments ago. This is my sable ferret Kali. The expression on her face is priceless. Don’t you think? Alright so she’s yawning but it sure looks like she is getting ready to say, Don’t mess with me punk!”

Her nickname is “Lil Scrapper” and she definitely keeps her big ferret brothers in check. Don’t mess with a woman fellas they can put you in check and Ms. Kali does this every single time her big brothers try to “punk” her. I also call her Lil’ Napoleon and yes her dook (chuckling sound ferrets make) is as worse as her bite at least with her ferret brothers it is with my daughter and I she is a sweetheart.

Ferret: Hanuman Silver Mitt Ferret

This picture was taken of my ferret Hanuman a few days ago. Hanuman is a gorgeous silver mitt ferret. I’m shocked that he was still long enough for me to snap this photo. However Hanuman had recently eaten a lot of raw chicken so that could explain his sluggishness or perhaps he was just humoring his ferret mommy? My ferrets have been eating natural pet food (raw food diet) for a little over a year.

Ferret: Ganesh, Sable Ferret

Even when my sable ferret Ganesh is dirty from digging in the dirt he still makes one adorable fuzzbutt. Don’t you know that ferrets absolutely love to dig. Digging outdoors it the ultimate ferrets haven!

My ferrets are raw fed ferrets. Since I made the switch to a raw fed diet I’ve noticed that their coats are thicker. They also have a higher sheen since converting them to an all raw lifestyle. They also have a lot more energy as if they did not have enough before. They receive plenty of exercise outdoors and are extremely muscular.

Kali & Indra

Alright besides my daughter, family, friends, etc., it would have to be my furbabies. It’s been a while since I posted pictures of my fuzzbutts. Although the posting has been light my ferrets are doing very well. Today we all were hanging around outside. We had a blast. I even captured them on video. I’m going to have to edit the video and post it to YouTube.

Over the next several days I’ll be posting more ferret pictures from today. I took over 50 pictures of my ferrets. What can I say my fuzzbutts are photogenic.

How do we spend our evenings? One of the fuzzbutts is usually snuggle up in our arms while the rest are scampering about playing and alternately taking snoozes. Kali and Indra were looking very sleepy in the above picture. This home is truly a Ferrets Haven. Their belly was full of raw chicken and beef hearts (their favorite meal) it was nice and warm outside so they figured they would catch a few zzz’s.
